Carbon Fiber 250R plastic....Has arrived!

We are going to place another order for the 85-86 250R radiator shrouds.
We keep getting requests for them so lets get another list going.
As last time, we will accept paypal or money orders and place the order then ship the shrouds off to the buyer.

I will edit this post later today, when we contact Maier today on what the price will be.

I called and got the pricing for these. With my discount plus shipping to me, and shipping to the buyer....$70.52 shipped in the US.

I did ask if they would do less than 10 sets. I have read here and there that they would, but they will not on small items it is still a 10 set minimum order.

That price is for one set and it includes shipping. These are a little bit cheaper than the last time we did an order of these. Maier lower their prices a little this year. In 2009 a plain red set of shrouds were just under $80, so I think this price is pretty good.

And no, these are for the 85-86 250R. If you wanted some for the 86 200X, contact this guy. He had them made for the 200X awhile ago, he may still have some carbon fiber ones left.

We are working on that too. We had airbox cover and rad shroud molds made for the Tri-Z awhile back. We had mostly the basic colors done. Other than one yellow set of shrouds left, we are out. So we will be doing them in the near future too. We plan to do a few in carbon fiber.



hmmm I so want a set of these, but I have to get my bike running first. Depending on how long this order takes I may go ahead and get them....hmmmmm indeed.

I will start collecting the money after I have about 8 or 9 people. Once the order is placed, it would be about 4-6 weeks till they are shipped to me.

If anyone one wants a set, but doesn't have all the $$...you can send in 1/2, then pay the balance before I place the order. I want to make sure anyone who wants a set gets a chance to get them.

Someone on .org asked about the rear fenders. If a few more people still wanted those, we could also do them at the same time.
At the time when we started a list for the rears, we didn't end up with enough people for the order. But since they said 5 on large items, now would be a good time to get them as well.

I was just wondering if it was possible to have the colors inverted so that they would be more black than gray. If thats possible I'm defiantly in for rears as well.

Maier makes 3 different carbon fiber colors...white, silver and black. The carbon look is "printed" on the plastic. These are black plastics with a silver carbon look on them.

He had broke a front one but I wasn't aware that it was gray, he's all set with fronts and shrouds but wants to be on the list for CF rears.

UPDATE:

I have decided to push back the order a couple weeks....

Maier said they would do less order numbers if I paced both this order, and the T3 plastic order at the same time. I had a few members ask if they can pay a little past the deadline. I said yes, because I don't want anyone left out. The order deadline was rather short, and a lot of people were at TF when we were really talking about these orders. So it is only fair to extend it a litle longer.

I want to have the order placed by or before the end of this month. As soon as all payments are in, I will place the order and update this thread again.

The plastics have arrived. I will be shipping them out this week, and probably part of next week. Bear with me on the shipping, a lot of fenders going out. All this carbon fiber, and the Tecate stuff at the same time.
I had to order boxes due to the size. It was kinda hard finding them to fit the rears. All I could find was a little big, so I will have to cut down each box, so that will take a little time.

Did you ever get the Tri-Z stuff done? It has been so long since I have been here so I"m a little out of the loop.

No we have not made another run yet. But we will.
The only issue is we have to order 25 pieces for them to get run.

If I can get 15 people to secure a pre pay on the order, I will run them now.
If not it will have to wait for awhile.
Currently, we are getting ready to take on another project, so I dont have the resources to do 2 orders at once.

If you would like to put up a possible order thread IV TriZ for Z tank shrouds and airbox covers for the Z to gauge interest, feel free to do so, and we will watch and jump in when the numbers get to the 15 mark.
