I have never owned one other than for parts and it was a freebie. But I have been told numerous times that the CDI boxes go bad on them.

I had a klt something once and it had no spark.
What I found was I pulled the left side cover (as you sit on trike) and oil had saturated the electrics.
Probably a bad crank seal, but after mopping up much of the oil it fired up.
Sold it the next day too.

Make sure the kill switch isn't tripped ;)
Check that the coil is grounded well. they can rust where it grounds to the frame and youll have no/weak spark. primary coil: 2.1-3.2ohms, secondary: 10k-16k ohms
Check is the pulsing coil. it should have between 390-590ohms (according to the book)
Make sure a battery is hooked up, they will not run without 1.
CDI, i had that issues with mine. You can get a brand new 1 from RMstator off ebay for $130 or so, they are awesome.
the CDI is a little more tricky to check. but at this point, it is the last thing to check so it should be ruled out.
