I just bought (well I haven't picked it up yet) an '86 200x in really good shape. However, I will need to recover the seat and put a new front tire on it. The specs say front tire is 23.5x8x11. I assume the rim is 11" right? and has anyone used 23" tire because 23.5" seems hard to come by. Also, any recommendations on a seat cover? I'd like it to look stock. Thanks

I have a 23" Dunlop on mine and can't tell any difference.

That's what I wanted to hear. I have lots of options that way.

I think that is the model I have. Looks like the original Ohtsu on the 350X.

Is it an 11" rim and 8" width?

The rim is actually 6 inches wide by 11 inch dia.

The tire is 8 inches wide...The tire is supposed to be wider than the rim so that it will seat on the bead. My brother ran a 24" tire on the front of his for a while...it helped a lot in the woods where a taller tire helps climb over things.

Thanks, I just ordered a stock size kenda that looks alot like the stock tread. And I got a ceet seat cover in blue.

The Kenda front max is a very good tire. Good choice.
