seems like it smokes a bit so im hoping new rings. also it seems the people i bought it from rode it forever with the rear brake caliper holder just rubbing against the disk so its all chewed up. as well as what seems the left axle is longer than the right. dont know if it was set up for a track at one point or not but it pulls hard to the left. looks like i have a new project on my hands but this one is worth putting some real money into. is ebay the usual for finding all the good parts?

There may be a axle spacer on one side... And yes e-bay is a good place for parts

Good luck on the project, Let me know if you have any question I will do my best to answer them for you.. I also know a sweet spot to get a Manual if you don't have one.

ive got the manual. im just in need of some info. would it be worth rebuilding the top end stock or just go ahead and upgrade a few things like cam and bore. as far as the rear end i think all i need is new bearings and a brake caliper mount. the one on mine has been eatin in half by itself.

you can put a hotter cam in without tearing it apart and a better carb, easy fix ups

what should i look for in a better carb? what makes it better compared to stock. just size?

imo if your going 2 have it apart you might as well build it the way u want it.

kinda like a carb for a car so you can pump it and it will squirt gas into the cylinder, but im not completely sure

If its anything like my 85R look really close at the axle for grooves and you will find c-clips,when changing the axle bearings.take your time and it's easy.
