350X Thumb throttle on 250R?

Will the 85-86 350x thumb throttle and cable fit on the 85-86 R and funtion properly? does a 4 stroke thumb throttle and 2 stroke thumb throttle have different throw lengths? (how far the throttle moves from idle to wot inch 2 iches etc) Im asking because i can get one cheap right now just for rough trail riding. I like the twist winter time on the roads, tracks, drags etc. I wanna make sure before i purchase.

the throttle will not open your carb the whole way. The cable will not work rite either. you need to get 86-89 atc/trx parts thats all that works

the 350x cable is different from the 250r cable too. I couldn't put the 85 250r carb on my 86 350x throttle assembly

How bout an `83-`84 thumb to `85-`89 250rs will that work?

that will not work either. The only thing i knoe you can make work is a Suzuki lt250 Quadracer thumb throttle.
