oil pressure gauge?

is there any way or reason to install and oil pressure gauge on an 85-87 type?

just heard too many stories of the newer type engines with catastrophic failures.

Rod knocks from overrevving which is understandable and prob self inflicted
but silent head valvetrain suicide from low oil pressure.

No... Change your oil and filter, keep clean oil in it, clean the screen once in awhile, and run it... (imo)
