Got a 250es, now need info

Got a rough 250es, believe an 85.
Needs plastics, seat work, low compression I believe, cleaning, brake cables, that may be it.

Anyone know if most parts are the same for 85 and the later years?

Also, anyone do good seat work that I can send my seat to?

Most parts are the same... The stators are different over the years, and carb parts change very slightly for 85 to 86-87... You could look up Moshman and Mrs. Moshman here on the board... They do some nice seats...

Rear brake assembly is different on '85 than it is on 86/87. I believe they simplified the swingarm/drivetrain a bit after '85 as well. less parts.
