Hey guys , new to the fourm.. ausome site!!
i have a 84 big red 200s , the fella who owned the bike put new gaskets in the carb , and it runs good no hesitation ! but i noticed it was leaking out the overflow on and off , parked and while i was driving it.. then i filled the tank and it started leaking out a little port above the choke switch ! coud this mean i need a new float kit ?
thanks in advance

Most likely the float is adjusted incorrectly or a little piece of trash is keeping the needle from sealing. I would try to clean it all out and inspect it first then go with a kit if needed.

def check the float height. sometimes just tapping the side of the carb can free a stuck float. try that before you rip it all apart

Along with what has been said, floats very rarely go bad just the shut off valve goes out. When there is a noticeable ring around it then is time for a new one they are like $1-$3 individually and come in a rebuild kit those run $15-$20. Good luck
