View Full Version : US90, 160cc bore and stroke kit
Most of my mods and work go into my 250Rs but I just purchased a 1964 Trail 90 for which I have plenty of motors for from my collection of ATC 90s. One of these motors has a 160 kit and I was wondering if anyone remembers anything about these kits. I believe that there were a few manufacturers of them, not sure which one I have. Its been over 25 years since I played with it, but the problem I had was getting it to idle. I will have to dig it out to get the specifics on it but it came with an adapter manifold with a fairly large Mikuni carb. I always thought it was to big but maybe its just the pilot jet. So if anybody has any info on these old kits and how they should be set up I would greatly appreciate it.

Is the Mikuni a 2 stroke style carb with the air fuel screw behind the slide when looking at the side of the carb? (IN My Opionion) If It Is a 2 stroke carb you will not get It to Idle very good at all.

Can you post some pics .
In my experience with the large strokers on the 90/110 if you can get it to idle for more than about 10 sec that's about the best your gonna get .
Good point I will have to check that out. Thanks
I need to unbury it so I can take pics and get specifics of carb size and what not. Thanks for the input.
