My friend has a yamaha 300, i have seen it, its yellow, and it looks like a big red kinda, its a pull and elecrtic start, but i have NEVER heard of one of these machines, he also said it has no rear suspension, is the guy yankin my chain? or do these really exsist? if so, can someone post a picture of one? aroun 1983 84 85 i am guessin.

He is full of crap. The biggest thing yamaha made was the Tri Z 250, which was a sport trike with full suspension. There were a bunch of 200cc models that yamaha came out with. (3 or 4) It could either be a yamaha 200E, or most likely the Yamahauler 200. I think the Yamahauler is the one that fits the description. Check the Specs page. Peace.

The Yamahauler was Yamaha's attempt to get into the Big Red market. It was a 200 though. Like he said, Yamaha didn't make anything bigger than the Tri-Z (250 2-stroke) for racing and I think the 225DX was the next biggest.

thanks alot guys, i was pretty sure he was yankin my chain, but couldnt tell for sure.

I am hopefully goin ridin with him on sunday, or at least to his house, if so, i will take a REAL hard look at it and the engine and all.

Same here, a kid at school says he has a yamaha 300, bored bigger tho, and its a 2stroke!! I think hes full of horse sh!t, what do you think.

Yep, it sounds like he's full of horse sh!t for sure. There is no way you could bore a 200 or 225 four stroke into a 300cc for one, and secondly, you cant do that with a Tri Z either, unless you buy a very special big bore cylinder and such, and I doubt he has a Tri Z. I think he is a lying sack..
