ok, took the 125 out of hibernation a month ago and everything was fine. then ever since yesterday for no apparent reason it's constantly been every few minutes or so it pukes alittle gas out of the over flow tube and the bowl drain tube (drain screw is closed too  ). and has been leaking out of every place it can from the fuel mixture screw on down, on the carb itself.
1. any ideas as to what is happening?
2. a basic rebuild should be the fix, correct? barring any unforeseen troubles of course.

yeah man, get a kit for it. might as well get that carb apart and soaking, so that when the kit gets there you have instant gratification

sounds like a pin hole in the float... loading up the bowl and dumping fuel wherever it can..... you need a float kit and might as well get a carb kit also.... im just saying while your in there

ok thanks for the quick reply fellas. just seems too strange how everything went all at once, so bad and so fast. no little hint of a leak or drip building up to the way it is now.

just remember most carb kits do not come with the float . only jets , o rings and needle and screws.

will do, and i think i'll have my buddy pick everything up at the shop by his house. he goes there all the time for his big red and knows them better than i do. sometimes he gets damn good deals from them, so ya never know, might be cheaper than i'm figuring it'll be too. lol

Is this just when you park it for a while? Or is it while riding? I always shut off the fuel petcock when storing or trailering.

it does it all the time parked and riding. running or shut off. didn't show a sign of a problem till i smelled gas the other day when i loaded it up to go for a ride. gave a quick look around and found everything on the carb wet and leaking.

As they have said, its time to replace the needle and seat, and check the float for leaks that fill it with gasoline. Clean the carb thoroughly, as small particles can reak all sorts of havoc on carbs, including what you described.
