I just want to start off by saying sorry to any members on here that are mad at me for my suddenly disappearance I have been having computer problems again and not had the time to sit down and fix it, but I just picked up a tri-zinger and it runs like a champ but I noticed that oil comes out the breather on the differential and the manual says that it is supposed to be lithium grease so what I am wondering is my seal between the engine and drive shaft tube leaking and letting engine oil into the differential? also the manual does not tell you how to check the engine oil so I was wonder if anyone knows how do that? I have been searching on here for the answers and have had no real luck also I was wondering about mods or performance parts I can do to this thing to make it ripp at little harder. Thanks, Alex

Gut the oil injector and run premix, (amsoil in mine 80:1) ditch the airbox and put a uni on it, and drill out the exhaust where it meets the silencer (common area to plug with carbon) make sure you have the bigger exhaust gasket (where pipe meets head) and a pw50 clutch will make it move along just fine...

Thanks, thorpe
I was also wondering can you still buy the special tools to service the rear differential or can they be made with pieces from the local hardware store?

Not sure on that one... Never had to service mine, just changed the oil... I am sure one of the other Zinger nuts will chime in here... Maybe check with dcreel...

I'm still looking for my manual. I remember that the crankcase has 2 bolts into the crankcase. the bottom one is the drain plug and there is one closer to the top that you fill until it leaks out of this hole. I'm still looking though. As far as a leak at the driveshaft seal I'd pull the driveshaft and check the seal.

Apparently I'm getting some bikes confused with the above and the oil. My half french/half english manual only says this about the crankcase oil. As far as the tools used to take apart the diff I'd call a yamaha dealer with the part numbers.

Reeds and clutch springs work fine. I also had a DG nationals pipe on the zinger I sold to my buddy and it worked fine. Other people have had mixed results. The other zinger I worked on years ago, didn't use too many stock zinger engine parts. It was way modded past stock.
