so i got ahold of a running 175 a couple months back, top end went:\ i figured since im doing a rebuild i should add a little more juice. Unfortunatly, I can't find any pipes for it. Anyone have any ideas what i could do to it? I've got my brother porting it out at the moment, made some carbon fiber reeds(friend in a machine shop).
I know the 200cc blaster engine was spawned thanks to this 1, anyone know if the pipe from a blaster would fit?, head does not fit cylinder - already tried it. The cylinder from the 175 fits on the blaster, but its lose on the studs.
maybe you guys have some ideas.

Forget porting. All you need to find is a 77-78 it 175 top end. It has way better factory porting and port timing than the yt175. You need to use the piston cylinder and head, but you are good to go. I think I may have to machine and tap a spot for a vacuum hose so I can use the stock yt175 fuel pump, but it should be good to go. If you get a whole 77-78 it 175 engine, let me know and I'll buy the bottom end off you, but it has to be 77-78. What kind of pipe do you want. I may be able to hook you up. I have several pipes, but a couple deals pending. When the dust settles I'll see what's left. Have you found your Pro Tec rear suspension kit yet? They are reallly nice when you can find them. I've had 4. I sold 3 to other members and save one for me. Good luck in your hunt. There was someone on here who had a aftermarket chain tensioner for a stock yt175. Way better than a stocker. There are aftermarket parts, just keep your eyes open and your wallet ready.

I've been keeping my eye out for the pro tec. Thanks for the tip on the other cylinder/piston. If my brother can't get the triple port exhaust in there(as he did his unsafe blaster) then i'll be shopping around. As for a pipe, anything better than stock, more torque, more top end, ect.
My eyes are ready, but my wallet isn't lol
