Well, now my 250R all makes sense - the grey in the oil, the cable with the nuts on one end, the wear on the ball and pushrod..... Clutch is cooked from running it with a worn activator - these aluminum metal plates are sharp!. Or it was all on it's way out anyhow. Anyhow do you guys reccomend any particular ATC250R clutch to buy? or just stick with OEM??

No topic change at all - the grey I believe is the result of the aluminum clutch discs slipping and wearing within the engine. This causes almost an aluminum paste when mixed with the oil. The discs have sharp edges and quite a bit of wear. Some beanhead must've kept ridding this thing while it was slipping like crazy.

Stock plates are like 8$ a pop X like 15 or something!! Ughh how much more will this 2 stroke - so far useless" trike get me

Ill add my vote for OEM, however if you find yourself in need of a new basket, Id go with one of the hardened billeted aftermarket type if yours is the later model for which they are available.
