My dad was just saying we had a frame a few years back that he thinks was called a joker frame. It had a solid tube instead of the pressed metal.

Ring any bells? And does someone still have one I could buy?

Ask Shortline10 if he has any left. He did have some frames up for sale.

It's not a solild tube, it's DOM, drawn over mandrel, or something like that. Joker/Bandtio, the same frame. A big improvement over a stock frame. They give you 2 or 3 inches of extra frame and way sturdier than stock. Don't leave home without one, unless you have another brand!

No, they are completly different frames. Johnson's used to get the frames made at a fab shop next door to them. I went there with them and saw the frames getting made. Nice jigs etc.

Joker/Sprint/Dickson are the same .
So Dickson is the mfg. of the joker. There are two styles of the joker, one is called the sprint. They're built the same except the sprint is the "heavy duty" version with better gusseting. Right? I have both frames and I thought that was the case. Help me if I'm wrong!:wondering

Not sure about the gusseting but yes Dickson built the joker and the sprint and I'm sure a few other designs that others put their own name on them .

Possibly home made fram a bandito rigid frame from the looks of it . Looks very heavy . Take some better pic and look at the welds and see if it looks factory ?

I wonder how hard it would be to make a suspension frame of my own for 90/110's, possibly selling some?

For us guys that like the real deal old skool stuff, a home made one ain't worth a penny.

Yep !! Not an option . Original oldskool from the period is the only way to go .

.....here's some more pics! It don't look home made at all. The one spot is welded a little tho. It even still has good zinc plating!

That upper shock mount looks close to my PK Racing suspension 70 shock mount. May be a PK. I have to dig out my catalog if I can find it. LOL

Welll.......I'll know in about a week when it shows up at the house!:naughty:
The guy I bought it from says he bought it from a guy 15-20 years ago. He claims the guy said it was for a 125m. It might not have ever been assembled. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is the weld.:(

Well, it's probably a chromoly frame and if you don't use the right welding techniques, you end up with a booger weld, alot like that one.

 Well buddy, I'm sure if you asked these other crazy members (you know who you are!) that have alot more stuff than we do, they'd say it's alot of searching and being ready to pay up at the drop of a hat! My cousin and I are a 2 man wrecking crew when it comes to locating this stuff! It's all for fun!

Got the frame home and a 90 carrier is too small and I don't have a 125 carrier around but I'm 99.9% sure that's what it was built for! It is very high quality and built by a shop that was mass producing them for sure! It's in great original condition too! Now to figure out who built it:wondering

Not sure about the mass produced part LOL but it sounds like a cool piece . Not alot of hop up parts for the 125m but a nice stroked 110 motor should bolt in their .

I don't think it's a 125 carrier unless the 84-85 atc110 and early atc125 carrier are the same. The 84-85
atc110 carriers adjusted like that. It may be for a later model atc110 engine. If it is, you can only use the later model atc110 brake parts and all. That would be a first I know of for using all those late model brake parts and such since you can't use any of the late model brake parts on the other frames. This frame has me more curious every time I see it.
