I was wondering if they made a big bore kit for the tri moto 175
if not what is the stock size of the piston in it
that way I can get a piston ALOT bigger than stock
plus do they make a high comp piston for them to
will a 225DX carb fit on my tri moto
225DX is 4 stroke
mine is 2 stroke
will that make a Differerence
help would be appriciated :? :? :?

No big bore kits available. You want to get more power out of it? Replace the stock 6:1 piston with a Weisco 10.25:1 . The standard bore is 66mm. If you swap carbs (if you can) you'll have to start mixing you're fuel and eliminate the stock oil injection system. Then you're going to have to re-jet the thing. Good luck! Question. Is this thing running now? You seem to want to hop it up to the max. You will probably sacrifice depenability with all these mods. That 175 is pretty radical, stock.

Ben, I would think that the 175 would certainly keep right up with the DX if not blow it away. Certainly the accleration part. Top end might be a different story depending on the gear ratio of the sprockets.

put it to ya this way. My 86 200x will smoke a DX or DR in accelleration and top speed. When we raced the 175 against the 200x, the 175 pulled away fast and the 200x could NOT catch it, in 6th gear, on a flat surface, the 200x could eventually catch the 175, but the DX/DR are 5 speeds, so....... Dont worry, the 175 properly running will slaughter the DX/DR. No offense to the DX or DR, but they are pretty slow, fun in the woods, and for bushwhackin there is nothing better, except mabey for a 250SX, but speed demons, they are not. I bet mine wouldnt do 45 MPH.

Trike, I can reach 52 on a dead flat road with no problem at all. Benn clocked by several quads and a couple trucks. You're right, they are no speed demon but fantastic trail machines.

Tri z dude, do you have any extra parts for a dx that you would want to sell? I'm looking for the left hand controls and some of the electric starter parts. My e-mail is xcr600sp96@hotmail.com
