Just got my engine back from top end rebuild and noticed behind the pull starter the 4 bolts on the fly wheel two have been drilled out and retapped to 1/4-20. The other two are standard size like m7 or something small. My question is will those bigger heavier bolts make it out of balance? Over time this would ruin the crank bearings?? I've got 420$ in parts and labor in the rebuild now, hate to buy a flywheel too.

I dont see what it would hurt. but if your worried about it why not drill and tap the other 2 to 1/4 20

IMHO< very doubtful that it will hurt anything....the different bolts, are they opposite each other on the flywheel?? or next to each other on the flywheel?? i especially wouldnt worry if they are opposite each other...

Thanks for the info! They are opposite of each other.
