Just bought a 1984 atc200s stored since '91. Now I can't find f&%$ing insurance. So could someone help me out if they know where I can find insurance and second what is the fine and do they inforce the insurance requirement for quads. I live in northern ontario and heard that they look the other way.

Hi, welcome to the boards. I have my insurance threw state farm. Sometimes you can get away with telling them it's an atv instead of an atc. I did that before state farm. I wouldn't recommend riding with out insurance. It's a court date if you get caught ( found that out the hard way when I was 16), which means a day of lost wages as well, but it's up to you if you want to risk it.

You guys in Canada, having insurance, does that allow you to drive in the streets?

Few places allow it. There are some small towns that have passed laws that allow snowmobiles or atv's to pass through town on the streets, but that's the exception to the rule.

Yes, try State Farm. My car policy is elsewhere, and I pay on average $120 per machine from State Farm (plus or minus $10 depending on machine).
