getting chris200x's 350x tomorrow and i need some info. i have tons of manuals here but nothing i have has info on the 350. i need to know the valve clearance spec by tomorrow so i can adjust them when it gets here. i also need to know the spark plug number and the quantity of oil these hold. i have to run to the local bike shop today and the sooner i can get the plug number and oil quantity the better as they are not open tomorrow. any help will be appreciated as im very busy and dont have the time to search for the answer. thanks in advance:)

Hey Aldo, you seem to be a real 350X guy, i have a question for you. Im having real trouble putting on my front wheel. The only way i can is if I loosen all the bolts on the brake rotor. If I tighten them up the disk starts to bend and won't fit. So im riding up and down my street with the front disk rotor loose!! That's the only way I can tighten up the front axle, Strange? Nothing is bent or aftermarket except for the brake pads. And I am just learning now that '85 and'86 brake pads are different. The '86 pads are an A-B set. So now im thinking maybe it has the wrong brake pads. Have you ever had this problem or have you ever changed the front pads? I just thought I would ask you for your 2 cents worth? :-) Cheers from San Diego

Aldo, You see those 4 bolts on the rotor, those are the 4 bolts that I have to leave loose. If I tighten those the rotor starts to bend and the wheel won't even turn because everything gets tight??

Make sure to get the NGK, nothing else works as well IMO.
The above plug part number is for the NGKs
Also, be sure you are on the right stroke. If you fire it up and hear chattering, you were aon the wrong stroke LOL dont ask how I know that...

I had similiar problems when I put pads on the rear. I couldn't get the darn caliper over the rotor. When you find those '85 specific pads let me know, I could use a couple sets.

Lucky you Eric. Thats a nice 350x you are getting. If I had the money I would have bought that from him.

Good deal Zilla, it always ran well at BRAPPS! I feel bad, I know his son loved it.......

Beerside, there is a shoulder on the hub. Is it's diamtere a bit greater than the inside diameter of the rotor where it mounts up?
Are the 2 mating surfaces perfectly flat?
Is there a raised edge at the top of a thread on the hub?
Are the bolts too long?

Are the 4 bolts when tightened pulling the caliper towards the disc and bending it? Possible the slide pins are seized or caliper is mounted wrong? Not allowing it to fully pull in towards the rotor?

Take the pads out and see if the 4 bolts tight allow the wheel and rotor to run true. If they are, you have a caliper issue.

The 85 and 86 caliper are similar, the mounting and pad shape is different. I don't believe you can get the wrong pad in but if it were wrong and jammed in, that could be the issue too.........

Something simple is off.

there are only 3 bolts holding the rotor to the hub correct? You can get the disc between the pads no problem? Did everything work fine before you changed the pads? Got to be something very simple.

Congrats Trizilla on getting an "X". Those are one of the funnest ATC's to ride ever. And thanks Dirt Crasher and Aldo for the support. Im going to take a fresh look at it tomorrow.
