Buy a 200x, 250r, Tri-z, Tecate, etc. Might be cheaper than making the 110 faster - especially a 200x.

There are never any of the big three wheelers for sale locally. Ive checked. Haha. Id rather fix this one up if I could, but if not Ill have to dish out the money for a 250sx.

How about a little speed in a bottle?

I hear ya - it's an uphill, expensive battle making a 110 faster than a stock 185s. In my opinion, the 185s was Honda's answer to the popularity of really fast, built, 90s and 110s in the early 80s. Guys spent hundreds maybe thousands building big bore stroker trick 90/110s burning alcohol and whatever and anybody with $1200 could buy a brand spanking new 185s that would run with most of them and not break any parts.

I had an 82 185s I bought brand new when I was 13 with paper route $ I'd been saving for years.

Maybe you could find one of those old hardtail frames that use 90/110 running gear with an RD400 engine. Those are way cool.

A truly "built" honda 90 would smoke a stock 185s, even a mildly modded 185s.

I have no problem believing that. I don't have much experience with the 90/110. I know there used to be a huge aftermarket for them.

I toyed with the idea of a 56mm (I think) piston for mine when I rebuilt it but, when I figured out a dingleberry hone would clean up the stock bore, my cheap gene kicked in and it's still a 110 (or 108 or whatever). Rings are cheaper than rings + piston + bore.

The $$ saved went towards buying the ugly twins (my 200x projects).

Which comes back around to my original answer to the original question - unless you have your heart set on having a built 110, just buy a bigger trike. Save your $$ and be ready to pounce when the ad comes up. I've found, if I don't have cash readily available (as in stashed in my house), by the time I gather it up, the Great Deal I saw on CL is gone.

If you goto Powroll.com they have a few updated for the 90 to make them a little quicker. (if that helps) but its going to cost you as much, if not more, than you probably paid for the machine.

buy a performance cam shaft and mabey a big bore piston kit if yours doesn't have on all ready

http://www.dratv.com/ctatstclslpe.html for camshaft

http://www.dratv.com/ctfi.html for piston but your will need a new head for the piston

After market, carb, intake cam and piston.
