View Full Version : axle carrier on 110
How do you remove the rear axle carrier from a '80 110. I've got everything taken off and am ready to take the carrier off but I can't figure out how to get it out. It has two brackets that are used to attach to the brakes and I can't get the carrier out because these brackets are sticking through the frame, kind of. :?
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

You gotta take the brake peice of off the carrier first and then the baerier just twist out
what do you mean by the brake piece. The brake pads or the two pegs that the brake pegs attach onto? Or do you mean the cable that goes to the brakes?

OK the break pedal go go a peg on the top of the carrie from the break pedal theres a rod going to the carrier that pused the pad to hit your brake drum. And the peice that hold the top of the pads comes off one you remove the other peice thats on the other side of the ped then you slip the pads off and twist the carrier down and it slides right out.
