it may sound silly but i have a family member who watchs craigslist during the day for me and alerts me of stuff that comes on, that way i can be one of the first calls they recieve, the guy who has it got it in a lot buy of hondas and they threw the tecate in which he said he didnt even want. eather way i am rid of a 200s project and will have two matching 84 tecates, perfect timing as my 250r is up and running again.

i actually like the ugly looks of the older tecates better it matches the rough raw power, i think the newer ones look to simular to a 250r

In 84 they sold 70% red and 30% green. A red 85 is fairly rare.

yeah if all it needs is a carb and a clutch cable your laughing cheap fix. Plus that is a sick trade a 200s for that and it dont even have spark for a 84 tecate in fair condition, swett

you know its funny my problem is, i fix them up really nice then i ride them and i mean ride, my 250r and 250sx were covered in mud from the ride saturday, i had to strip them down to nothing to get them clean, anyhow the tecate needs some things,
rear plastic is shot, clutch cable and lever, and a intake from none other than jeswinehart, it will be a rider i hope to have it running right for some dirt drags in 3 weeks, i am taking both 84 tecates and my 250r. this is a sickness thats 5 runners and to many parts machines and parts.

Still for a 84 tecate for trade for a 200s its a good trade, and it dont seem to need to many parts. That would be sweet to take it to a dirt drag nobody would be able to touch it, nice
