Engine Paint?!

So I see all these trikes that have bright shiney parts on them and I drool! I can't afford to buy stuff like that for a trike I want to ride wherever whenever! How can I dress my engine up so it has a clean look? Can I paint the whole dang thing pretty easily myself? How should I do it and what should I use?

PJ1 barrel paint and PJ1 case paints look like the best option for the DIY'er, if you can get your hands on them. I can't find them in my city.

I used some Dupli-Color hi-temp paint on my 110 engine. I bought it at the local Advance Auto Parts. Nothing special. Anything red on the engine in these pics (case covers & cylinder):

This engine has about 10 hours on it now and still looks like this. I spent some time cleaning with a wire wheel and brake cleaner, then baked the parts in my oven after painting.

I was worried about the cylinder and I'm actually impressed it still looks good.

I have not used the PJ1 stuff.

Pull the engine out, clean/degrease it, and then use some high temp paint on it. I used some cheap stuff like jb2wheels said. It holds up fine as long as I don't spill gas on it. When then happens it gets a dull spot.

I have paint my 250r motor with a paint especially made for car wheel,flat black,the job is unbelivable,look like a NOS motor,will post pic soon on the resto

so would any high-temp paint do the trick? Clean, Degrease, scuff, paint... pretty simple i suppose
