250sx brake lever

i seem to have some play up and down movement in my front brake lever,s i have tightend them but there is still some play especially on the left side where the reverse button is located is there anything i can do to tighten this up????????:idea:

cut up some rubber ( like from an old inner tube) and stick it in there ?
