View Full Version : 1982 Honda 200 barn find!

I found a guy local to me that asked if I was interested in purchasing his three wheeler, so I decided to go look at it, he lives next door to the guy that i got my 225dx from. I think I got a good deal, it's a 1982 Honda 200, it's probably the cleanest one I've seen, all the tires are factory, stickers, cables, it even has the plastic on the brake levers still in tact. I was sitting in a heated work shop for God knows how long, covered and dry of gas, I paid $400.00 for it. It came with Hondaline front and rear racks and a hitch. I took it home, looked it over and checked the oil, checked the tank (no rust) put gas in it and on the third pull it fored right up. I'll post pictures tomorrow, I guess my question is did I pay too much, or is it a good deal? I was actually looking for a 200x but I figured on the condition I couldn't pass it up.

Sweet deal, I have the same trike but I had to do alot of work to make it nice, still need that steal seat pan and gas tank without pinholes.

good deal, you can get them cheaper but rarly ever see a ol 200 in mint condition so $400 was a steal

Besides still being wrapped in plastic in a crate I don't know if they come any cleaner than that. nice find

Thanks for the comments, it's clean and runs like a champ, I live in Port Huron Mi, but the bike is located at my parents place. I grew up riding there, still have the same trails, pits, fields ect. It's a great place to ride. I am giving this to my girlfriend, unless I can sell it/ or find a clean 200x for my son, then she'll be riding the 225dx he's riding right now.
