SYCO, I am not quite sure who your "I mean really? Does anyone actualy read anymore?" comment is spoken to.
I read your entire post about your fender, all 5 pages. BEFORE this thread was even posted.
In your previous thread you made 1 non-descriptive comment regarding painting the fenders,
"straight fiberglass but can easily be spray painted the fiberglass is finished extremely smooth so its no big deal to slap some paint on them, I guess I could offer to paint them but I was trying to keep cost down."
which is why I asked you in this thread WHAT your cost would be for this fender all ready to go.
I understand its $150 for the bare version, how much is it for the clothed version?
im not doing any painted fenders its to much hassle as it is I dont make any money from these only the oportunity to make these avail when they are non existant at a decent price. Im leaving it up to the members to handle painting chores for these. Sorry for this inconveinence but I have neither the time nor patience to do this.

Seadoo, What steps were needed to get it from how they were shipped to you, bare fiberglass, to ready to go painted, gel coated, etc. on your trike?

Yes, you will need to go over them with a skim coat or gel coat. Fiberglass will have alot of tiny pinholes when it cures. It's unavoidabl;e. Then sand it smooth and paint it up. Mine has Dupont base coat auto paint with adhesion promoter and clear coat. It is a process if you wanna do it right.
I will see about putting gell coat on them this time, the only concern with gell coat is that what causes the initial cracks to appear as regular primer with paint is more flexable, I will ask if it will raise the price more.

if they are gellcoated they will all come in one color, mainly black but I can see about red or white.

I will buy a set from you syko. Will send the payment soon, but I would need bare fiberglass or red fenders. Black would not work for my racer 200x
what would be the difference if they were bare or red if you would have to paint the bare ones anyway? that didnt make any sense.... im not sure what color they will come in if any and it will be with whatever he has mixed up at the time.

Those fenders look awesome. Especially with the white like on Seadoo's x. Really makes me want to go whit and blue on mine. Have been thinking all black. Syko, I read all of your other post, these fenders look top notch. I wouldn't have ever believed that the fiberglass would hold up. I'm sure I want a set of your fenders, but I've been spending so much dam money on my x lately. Hopefully I get a couple more jobs finished and paid up in the next two weeks. I'll let you know in time for the deadline, but I'm pretty sure I'm in. C'mon yous guys, You know you want a set too.

C'mon people. How often do you get a chance to get a set of these? I allways hear people saying "I'd buy it if someone makes it, blah, blah, blah" Time to step up to the plate. I really need another set of these and i'm relying on others to make this happen.

What's the benefit of these over, say, Maier's? I'm needing some fenders for my '85...
What's the benefit of these over, say, Maier's? I'm needing some fenders for my '85...
may not have any benefit over maires thee are made after a barely produced 80's low profile 200x fender for racing, i would say these are good for a casual rider or a racer or a nice custom resto. but hit a bush or some tree limbs or let the trike bail over a hill and they will break were the maires will bend and come back. All depends on what you want to use them for.
