got my new junker 200s running today but it idles very high, took the needle and slide out of the carb
it looks fine it did sit for a while, the idle screw does nothing, the throttle cable moves and returns to
idle position fine but its like something is holding it open is it possible that someone put a cable that is too short? thanks in advance- mismatchtrike

Have you tried to adjust the threaded part on top of the carburator cap? There is a small lock nut you loosen, and in your case you would want to thread the longer adjustment in a little, to give a little more slack. Try it, and I bet it fixes it. Good luck!

agreed .. or you have a air leak in the intake somewhere . but most likely the cable needs adjusting ..

My valves were out of wack on my 350x and she was idling very high. I would check the cable first though. There may also be and adjustment under the rubber boot by the thumb throttle if someone put a different thumb throttle on it at some time or another.

thanks for the advise the adjustment was all the way out I didn't know it was there due to the rubber boot.
