How is it backfiring every time you rev it or after full throttle while riding? lean is the culprit start with the fuel air screw or pilot screw in front and under the carb out will richen it up im correct!

thanks for the reply it only backfires when riding/ throttling , idle sounds good but sometimes will die with a snap of the throttle and doesnt always stay idling for long

Lean mixture can cause backfiring. Are you driving it now? What colour is the spark plug?

cant help but ride a little .the electrode is grayish, but beneath that is black (around the daimeter at the bottom of the threads) so im alittle confused still havent fooled with the jets though i got a shindy carb kit but the jets are not labled so i gusee ill just have to not ride it for a night especially since i have no headlight ! and concentrate on the jets. ?

check the plug, wire, ignition, etc. clean plug, it probly misses then unburned gas goes into the muffeler and ignites good luck
