I have a spare 200x swingarm that I want to use and install, but it has what appears to be the outer race from the needle bearing swingarm pivot stuck in place. No needle bearings left, just a rusted in thin sleeve. Any suggestions on how to get this out. My ideas are 1) install a hacksaw around the open end and attempt to cut through the outer race 2) use a 1" drill and try to drill it out.

Any ideas? I don't want to damage the swingarm.

Darn thing is paper thin. Not sure how hard it is, but being an outer race, it might be pretty hard steel to cut or chisel. I had thoughts also of mig welding an undersized nut inside it and pushing it from the other side.

I'd buy it in a flash, but I live in Canada. Shipping would be a killer. Unless you think it can be shipped for like $25 or less. Is it a square tube swingarm for an 84 200x?

This swingarm I got as a spare with the trike is pretty minty, and it came with brand new Honda, in the bag bearings and seals for the pivot. But, it has the minor challenge of getting that old outer sleeve out from the pivot bearing. I might be able to just chisel it in half then peel it out, if the hacksaw idea doesn't work out.

Mission accomplished. I tried the hacksaw and the metal is too hard. A chisel couldn't get a bite into it at that angle either. I used a die grinder and a carbide bit and split the inner race. As soon as it was split, it let go and spun. I had to do that on both sides. Now I can install zerks, get it powder coated, and reinstall with new bearings. Might fab up a skid plate while I'm at it.
