I recently posted a thread on my Honda 185s not having any spark. And thanks to everybody I now do. It doesnt start from pull starting but if we pop start it in 3rd and have the throttle wide open it jerks you foward and thats about it. The carb is clean and has plenty of gas. What other ideas? Timing? How do I time it? Put the piston at TDC what about the cam?
Thanks

try getting a new spark plug and sometimes putting a little but not alot gas in the carb were the airfilter goes usually starts it up

To check timing you pull the cap on the top of the case next to the spark plug. You turn the crank till you see a T with a line next to it. Center that line. Then you have to pull off the pulse generator stuff to see the cam. There is a circle on the cam gear that has to line up with an arrow above it while the crank is lined up with the T. If the cam looks 180 degrees off, turn the crank 360 degrees till you see the T again.

Is your on/off switch working/wired properly?
