I'll have to try uploading the others from my camera to this new PC.....
Anyhow DEEPA and I were ripin it up yesterday, but he forgot to turn on his 300$ helmet cam :(
Oh well, we have some stills that FABIO shot.

You can barely see through the trees but look how compressed my suspension is! Gotta add dirt to the landing:

Whats funny is I actually "APPEAR" to know what I'm doing,
My upper shoulders and legs/thighs are KILLING me today. 200lbs of me and allot of 350X!!
We have one "DEATH" jump, If you really hit it, you'll be 10-15' high and 25' or more out. I'm not THAT comfortable just yet but lap after lap, I'll get there.....
The track was about 5 years old and really deteriorating. No lips on jumps, landings were sketchy, but it's all very safe now; Yet still VERY dangerous, you can get in trouble real fast!
Johnny, how did you make out with that bearing?? Your local, I absolutely have to get you here this year!!

^ Thanks Roy....... AND everyone. This track started as thick woods and drawings on paper. 2 Backhoes and TONS of work later and you guys are seeing 25% of it.
You have to type DEEPA in caps or people don't know who your talking about, kind of a PITA and he doesn't come here much since the "PUNISHER" arrived, it took allot of the fun out of the board. Still awaiting the still shots from him - Mike, earth to Mike?? I'll have to call him but I hope he got some more; I was getting awesome air on the table top.
Yeah, it's tough now, you can't rest for 10 seconds and you either jump it on the gas or endo it and thats even scarier!
The whole track is probably on about 1.250 acres and if I had the dirt, I could make it even nastier! It just needed SO much work at this point..............
All set for now though, sooner or later I'll get a couple/few 10/18 wheelers in here with some dirt and I'll make it safe but sick :beer
Glad you made it by today Tank, thanks for the race gas!! :D I always appreciate your help!! I know landscaping "isn't your thing" but you did just fine!

I agree, the roosts look great in the pics; But we needed rain real bad and got it last night. That willl buy me some track time without pissing anyone off. Thanks bud! You guys - ALL OF YOU LOCAL GUYS!! are welcome down here..... We haven't got together enough in the last year or so, we gotta get back in the groove!!
Jeff, I finally just used the backhoe to take down the bigger pines, you know how shallow the roots are! Then I snapped them in half with the Backhoe :D and trimmed it with my 24V sawzall, All I need to do Is clear some land behind me for a nice ATC70 flat track..... (Not that I can get a 70 to run anyhow.... I've been useless to Plastikos, I gotta give him a yell back)
Were is the track looks like a blast
Thanks bud and everyone for the words :beer
The track is right in my backyard. I walk about 25' from my deck and I'm on the outer ring of the track :naughty:
This is the machine that makes it all happen, a 10,000$ 1982 John Deere 500C and worth every dime. "Runs like a deer!!" The only downside is that with older Hoes, you can't see the bucket very well, Dam hoes....... All the new machines have glass all around.
http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh220/Dirtcrasher/002.jpg
You guys still haven't seen pics from the "Big air jump" or the "Jump of death" and the gigantic berm right out by the road that always turns heads  We'll get them in next time.
I'm not done yet, we need a row of "whoops" and some other double jumps that everyone can manage without getting hurt. Maybe some woodchips may help keep the dust down too, so I may look into that; Lots of guys just wanna get rid of them. I always have to find stuff locally or it's just too much to deliver the stuff paying for the driver and fuel.

That track looks awesome. You could make a trail sprinkler with an old 50 gallon drum (or bigger), yard trailer, valve and drill some holes in a copper pipe. Turn the valve and go, water the trail every once in a while and it will keep the dust down.

Thats a great idea! I'd just toss it on some pneumatic tires and drill a bunch of small holes in it, using the 250SX and trailer hitch to tug it along..... Probably wouldn't take much to get it wetted down some; I still think woodchips may help.
Get that vid up Roy!! :w00t:

Seems like the wood chips would get flung off the track and you would have to keep raking them back on. Just a thought. Plus they are a weird traction surface. If you put some leave on in fall and ride over them they will break down real quick and make the dirt richer so it will hold better. I did it on a trail by me. It took a couple years for to soil to really get black but I only did it as I was riding along.

Does your camera not have an option to use a faster shutter speed? A sports setting maybe? Faster shutter = less blur.
If that's not an option, if you track the machines with the camera, the bike will be in focus and the background will be blurred instead (which actually looks really cool).

Probably thousands of hours.......... It all started with a chain saw, drawing on paper and pulling stumps out with my truck  Wheel barrels, pick axes, shovels were all I had for a couple years. Then a POS Dynahoe and now the Deere which has been great (knock on wood......)
I enjoy keeping it up to date but believe it or not, dirt is expensive. They want about 250-400$ for 1 load and thats barely half a table top once it settles down..........
I just wish I could keep the dust down more, maybe wood chips would help.

I know what you mean been working on mine for awhile now. Same as you sounds like. But i sold my farmall 460 utility with a backhoe(still kicking myself) Made such a diffrence on stump pulling. Currently my town is doing the culverts and need a place to dump all that dirt.. yay me.. lol.. I have hundreds of hours in already and good it is painstakingly slow. BUt looking forward to finsihing using a little 4210 deere now a compact great little tractor but makes stumping much harder. Miss my farmall.. But love your setup.. it's great and i can see how much work there is there.. Keep the vids coming love em..

The camera that took all the blury shots is mine, It's a SAMSUNG Digimax 430, which is around 8-10 years old. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an option to change the shutter speed, or sports setting. shens The only way you can change the shutter speed is, if you set it up for night time pics, and that still limits the shutter speed to only 1.5 seconds. I just think that it's time for a newer one
wonderboy
05-22-2010, 10:19 AM
Try changing your picture taking technique. Are you aiming for a fixed spot on the track and then clicking the shutter when a machine is in the viewfinder? This is what it looks like to me since the moving three wheeler is blurred but the background is crisp.
Try this: follow the three wheeler with the camera and then click the picture when it is in the spot you want. You'll get a better chance of having a clear shot of the machine, and a blurred out background (which looks cool). Sorry if I sound like captain obvious here, but sometimes simple things bear repeating.

My 6yr. old said "awesome" sitting on my lap as I scrolled through your pics. The feeling is mutual to say the least! Nice track and air shots!
