This comes up every so often. Here goes
All 3 have front suspension and are chain drive. no reverse. Very similiar engines. Top ends interchange
200e: 1st generation Big Red, made 82-83. electric start
200m: made 84-85. electric start
200s: made 84-86. pull start only
Let's throw in the 200es for good measure
200es: 2nd generation Big Red, made 84 only. electric start, shaft drive and reverse
Check out the brochure page to read all the original literature on them: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/Brochures/ATCsite/

Thanks, I was just wondering what was interchangeable. Mine smokes like a train and I assume it needs top end rebuild. I was just wondering whether to rebuild or find complete motor off another bike.

If it is just smoking and the tranny is ok you might as well rebuild what you have, then you know it will be good for awhile. My 200x was smoking bad when I got it as well because of a broken piston skirt. I got the cylinder bored 20 over and put in a new Wiseco, along with new valves and timing set. I put about $225 into the top end and it runs great now.

I have never torn into a small engine like these and dint know how involved it was. I do all mechanic work on my cars but thats a different animal lol. I would love to get away with only 225 in it. Where is the best place to find the parts?

I buy almost all my parts on eBay. If I can't find it on eBay then I order from the dealer. I had a local engine shop bore my cylinder.
