compare '84 and '86 200x

I've found several '84s and 1 '86. I've heard the difference is night and day but what exactly is different. The '86 will cost a little more--is it worth the extra $$$? Will I be able to find parts for the '86 (I really like this one)--clean 8)

parts are near impossible to find. i found a mint one for $1000 but passed because the bearing carrier was cracked.

please tell me where that mint one was so I can be sure I'm not looking at it. I think it's in northern ms. or southern Tenn.
