Got this at a local auction yesterday. One owner, taken well care off. It has been sitting since 1995 in the guys shed for whatever reason, and just recently he passed away.
It was FILTHY! Had been sitting in a barn. I spent a good hour cleaning her up good. Looks to be original except for the front tire and the homemade brush guards. Had to clean/rebuild the carb. I have never seen a carb so gummed up. The gas that came out of it was brown. Dipped it in simple green for 2 hours with all the guts pulled out, installed new kit and a charged battery, changed the oil, and 3 rolls she was putting like a kittin! I was happier than pig in sh!t!
Here she is...

Sweet score. Those brush guards are not home made. They were made by a company called CMP which is Cambridge Metals and Plastics now. They are pretty sought after if you decide to get rid of them. I had a few sets on 200 and 250 Big Reds but they are a little tight when you wear a size 14 boot.

Sweet, always good to see another Big Red. And actually, the front tire is original. The two rears are off a 250es.
