Just put a Rad Valve on the '85 250R. That thing works. My advice to everybody is to buy one.

yes Rad valves are a big improvement. if you want a another big improvement try a 2001 CR 250 ignition. you won't be able to run lights but, what a differance.

I did look at the CR ignitions from ESR but I NEED a headlight. I do get involved in many a late night BOOZE CRUISE. After looking at the 310 kits and many late nights of considering my riding conditions and the fact of pissing away + or - $1500. I am going to do a rebuild with a 265 bore and a full port and polish for maybe $500 tops. Plus a bigger carb. That other $1000 will be better suited to put into my business. But the bike runs absolutly perfect now so I hate to fix what is not broke. I also may buy a Hinson clutch basket, and 87/88 style clutch rod with the bearings on the pressure plate. And what is the thing about the CR 500 clutcn springs???

nah just get the 89 clutch update, and stay w the stocker spring.. polish the covers, get a bigger carb and go from there!
