ive had enough of the hardtail drag bike ride. i need suspension. this is what i have..... if someone could tell me wether or not i'll be using the extra linkage or not would be a great start for me.

ive looked in the manual and now i understand how the linkage works except for where the one end of the pivot arm mounts to.

this solid bar is actually shorter than my spring (from mounting hole to mounting hole on both respective pieces) so couldnt i just bypass the pivot arm and shock arm and bolt it right on?

that last pic tells the whole story. do i have the stuff i need, or is there something that im missing?
thanks for any help, i appreciate it very much

i got it all put together (shock and arms) just cant figure out where the end of the pivot arm mounts (the end with the grease fitting)

I think what you are asking:

In your first pic where your carb overflow hoses are routed is where the pivot arm mounts (the end with the grease fitting).

Yep,

The end with the grease fitting goes on the lower mount of the frame where your vent tubes are. Then you connect both the shock/dogbone to the other end, so 3 parts will meet in 1 place.

Make sure you position all the grease fittings the right way, so when the swingarm moves up and down, it doesn't break any off.

Here is a decent picture of how it should look (TRX is the same setup):

thanks guys. i found that little bracket hiding under there. it was staring me in the face when i snapped that second pic, but i just stuck the camera in there and took the pic. i got everything hooked up. much better!!!!
only prob is, now the 3 inch air tube from my carb to the filter wont fit between the frame and the canister for the shock. i have no airbox and i dont want to break off the the tab from the frame to make it work. i need a longer piece of 3'' tubing. anybody know where to start looking?

It looks to me like your 3" tubing is radiator hose, so I would suggest going to your local auto store and finding a piece of similar tubing with a 45 degree or 90 degree bend to clear what needs to be cleared.
