i remember a while back there was some people not able to find UNI clamp on filters and were forced to get cloth type filters, well i ordered a catalog from www.denniskirt.com and UNI has them in there with all different sizes and lenths. also call 800-969-7601 for denniskirt (its the number on my catalog)
oh how i love the smell of a new catalog. nothing like folding the page to every part you want the find yourself folding 30% of the whole catalog. lol

They always have made those types of filters. K&N does also. That's all I run on my ATC70s and CRF50s. The first thing I do when I buy one is chuck the stock airbox and slap on a clamp-on UNI. I've been riding for over 25yrs and have never known of a time when I couldn't call my parts guy and get a clamp-on style UNI and raise the needle a couple of clicks.
I just bought one last week for a Tri-Zinger. The stock filter had turned into dust and the intake tube on the airbox turned to plastic. Quick carb cleaning and my buddy's son was back in business. I don't know who started this nasty rumor, that UNI was no longer in the clamp-on business, but It's totally untrue.
My guess is someone was too lazy to look.

no one started a rumor...they were just hard to find online im guessing. im just making sure people can find them because i know there has been a difficulty in the past.

I understand why you posted the thread and it was a good thing to do, especially if people were under that impression..
I'm just chiming in to prove that a lot of what you read and see on the internets is just a bunch of BS.
It's up to you to do your own research and develop your own conclusions. Based on the data that you find from MULTIPLE sources.

Do those clamp on filters, cause the jetting to get out of wack? i am still learning how to do lots the detailed like jetting, what cause's the changes. I after i read about this clamp on style, makes me want to put one on my 200x.

it may cause it to run a little leaner since your eliminating all the restrictions from your airbox and UNI airfilters genuinely breath better the stock too. a slight jet up may or may not be needed. but i doubt anything drastic, maybe just lowering the needle clip position would get the job done.
