put the battery in the tool trunk and runs longer wires.

my friend did that
he drilled holes in the inside of the trunk for the wires
then he squeazed the battery between styrofoam pads
seems to work well

do you think it will matter with it behind the rear suspension and a lead acid battery?

I bought a regular motorcycle battery and it fits perfectly in the BR

Get a good battery. I got one from Walmart and it lasted a year. I got my Yusa from my Honda dealer. Cost a bit more but my last Yusa lasted 10 years.

i dont think it would change sumthing if its in the back of the suspension
my 250sx battery is behind it so why it would be bad for the br?

It;s shorter than most and is tucked up under the frame under the seat.

I broke down and bought the right one but will do the lawnmower mod to my other one.

That way I can also jump the tractor.

DO NOT buy a Walmart battery - they are junk - PERIOD (like everything else from those crooked crap paddlers)! - get the correct battery - you really do get what you pay for in the battery world.

the one for the 85 6 and 7 br is a 12 BS. You can find the number in that dirty book that hangs next to the batteries in the automotive section.

its a shorter version of the 84 b reds 14 a or l or something

the walmart near me has all the old used battery outside going back for returns... they have the date sticker on them... Since my last battery was out by like 2 days i pulled a sticker with a newer date on it. or just go in and tell the lady that you got it so many months ago.. I had to do that 2 time on my jeep.. Seems like the walmart batters not holding up like they should. The manufactur date sticker dont stay on either if you do a lot of mudding or get it wet alot.

I bought one from walmart for my 87 125m which I believe is the same battery and its holding up just fine . Honda OEM is probably the best though if you dont mind spending the $ .

I bought an everlast from Walmart ( 12 BS) for about $35 and have had no problems with it. It fits perfecting in my 86 big red.

Mine has an Energizer 12BS that was in there when I bought it. I looked it up on my local farm store's site and they are a little over $50
