I put a set of these rear fenders on my 200x. Problem, I keep getting the back of my heels hooked under the plastic. They must come down further than the stock fenders in front of the rear wheels. Either that or the toe shifter to foot peg placement isn't up to size 10 feet. Anyone experience this problem? Its not like I can move the pegs forward, because the toe shifter wouldn't work then.

just curious, how much did you give for the fenders, its an 85 right ? i wonder if the 86 have the same issue, as i am in the market rear fenders for my 86 200x

The fenders are for an 84. They cost me around $190 shipped to Canada. Found them on ebay. I think before shipping they were around $145.00 or somethign in that ballpark. G&H Discount ATV was the vendor on ebay. Best price I could find.

on my 86200x Maier fenders, i used my mom's blow dryer, turned it on high and turbo, and starting heating up the plastic. Be careful when you bend or you'll leave white stretch marks.

I might try that with my headlight covering. Its a little wonky looking and needs straightening. Anyone else find their heals catch on those fenders or is it just me and my running shoes (probably not a great idea and should wear longer boots).

i have had my heals catch on the fenders on my es, but they are the originals. just cut them down/heat+bend, or learn to live with it.

MX boots are next on my purchase list. Doing a series of moguls while standing on the foot pegs with runners is brutal. Makes me feel like I'm getting plantar fasciatis. Not to mention the shin gashes I've gotten from kick starting. I've had a 500 twin and 400 twin that both had kick start only and never have I felt as brutal of a kick starter as the one on the 200x. Most of the time it fires right away and its no problem, but I flooded it or something out on the trail and just about kicked myself into exhaustion.
