That's AWESOME!! I thought the expansion chamber came out on the left side on the Z? The bend looks like the CR500, very different & kewl!

far from restored, done up nice is more like it, oem gas tank is not even there and your tires are bald. but it looks nice.

Looks like a 125 engine with a opposite side 250 style pipe. No yamaha 250cc valve engine looks like that. Probably short on torque, but fine when on the pipe. Better get a head stay on there too. I've seen cases crack due to not running the top. It is arguably the most important attachment point.

that explains why the upper mounts are not on,,, That is one cool bike, It's gotta have a sound all of its own.
