I just picked one up for $200 in real rough shape. I'm willing to spend the money on it as I will get to do the work myself and upgrade as I go along.

It needs a piston, guy says it's on its last bore. Some scarring, maybe a hone will help it. Might still be usable.

Anyway, using a mic it's 2.778 inches which comes out to 70.5612mm. I need to find a piston that will fit.

Also, if it is on its last bore, what can I do when it comes time for another top end job?

Lastly - compatibility.
1. Carbs
2. Seat
3. Plastics
4. Front end

All of these I may change, this is an 82 I believe. (has the fat tire in front, like a 110/200s)

go to LA Sleeve and get a new nikasil or chrome sleeve to press in.
I believe forks off later models will fit with no problems.

Will I need a sleeve now or should I be able to get away with just a piston/top end set?

If it mic's out to around 70.5 that shouldnt be the last bore. You can go to 72mm on the aircooled engines. So you should be able to just do a top end.

70.5 piston, will that work when I got the equivalent of 70.5612? The next piston up I can find is 70.70 or so.

I would have it bored out to 71mm and put a new 71mm piston in it.

Alright I will probably due that due to the marks on the cylinder walls.

Any rough ballpark on pricing, or is there someone to mail it to?

My local bike shop bores cylinders for $55 and then it will probably be another $100-150 for the piston. So probably around $200.
