1985 honda 200x engine question

hey guys, my engine seems to be making a knocking noise when its just sitting and running, and is there a oil filter on these or do you just clean that screen behind the spring on the oil drain nut??? Thanks guys, much appreciated

no oil filter,just the screen, if its knocking then it must be the piston, valves, timing chain, there must be alot of play in the motor! a slight ticking would be worn head knocking is never really a good sound!

There's a filter rotor in the engine on the clutch cover side. Should be cleaned once a year according to the manual. Most people don't ever. Probably needs it. But that wouldn't cause a knocking.
