200x to a 200sx????????!!!!!!!!!!

ok,been pulling my hair out on this motor thing,am sick of timing and valve things that arent working,so my brother-in-law got a ??85-86?? 200sx,motor runs awsome,just not much left of the old girl..did search after search and havent found out a straight answer to will it fit or wont it?not concerned about e-start,but want to ride the thing!!!i have an 85 200x and want to ride it.ANYONE HELP????before i have no hair left!!HAHAH!!!thanks!

86-88 TRX200sx motor is the same as the 86-87 200x engine correct? If that is the case I believe it will not fit in a first gen 200x frame.

They are NOT the same. You can use the cylinder, head,valve cover and possibly some gears or the flywheel - I'm not sure.

BUT, it won't bolt into ANY 83-87 200X chassis........
