I have got to downsize, and I can not see letting my bad ass 110 go for a couple of hundred bucks. SOOOOOO, my question to all of you afficionados.....How much mods are needed to squeeze the stock engine from my 110 into my stock ATC70? Thanks in advance, :)

I did search, before I posted this, came up with nothing :(
Searched again, nothing :( maybe I am just a jack ass

I was going to PM KASEY, since he seems to be the man, "HINT""HINT"
Kasey? Calling Kasey? hahahahahahaha

but I also know there are plenty of you out there with great knowledge

If something doesn't sell soon, I will have to part it all out.

This is going to be a major consideration if I have to go that route :(

Thanks guys!!!!

I saw one for sale a while back for sale.

Not sure how it was done but I know the 110 engine has a wider mounting area so some how the frame would have to be widened or the engine ground down a little I would imagine.

Also isn't the 110 engine a little longer? I know in my atc 90 the lifan stye engine sits a few inched farther back.

It depends how fancy you want to go. You have to redrill one of the mounting holes for the engine. If you don't mind not running a front fender then the engine will clear. If you are worried about the difference in weights of the 2 engines, then you may want to install the front 110 engine mount. If you want to run a front fender, then you will have to cut and stretch the frame between the neck and the seat and you will have to relocate the front tank rubber mounting nubs. And then you just need the 110 wiring harness for the year you are running. And you may need to use the 110 brake cable mount as well since your trike may be slightly longer. That's about it.

I believe you, I searched it like four different phraes of 110 into 70 and such, just came up nill. It may be my connection at work too, Either way. That is what I wanted to know, if the mods will be severe. I am not running a front fender now, so it is not an issue to me. The stock 70 is tired that is in the bike now. The 110 runs like a champ. Being that the lifans are based off the 70, I just wondered how much of a geometrical difference there may be.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it. I know redundant questions get asked and asked and asked again. But I just want to keep this one short and sweet. Thanks!

i was gonna do the same as you were but the 110 engine was very worn. i did stuff the engine in the frame though, the mounting bolts fit but i didnt mount the foot pegs on it though, i think it would be good to mount the front engine bracket the 70 frame, carb position seemed like it needed to be tweaked. im currently working on a lifan swap, its requiring a little modifications. so far the intake has been shortened, 110 shifter put on, some minor exhaust modifications and im gonna have to figure out a way to start it. fender in the way of kick start pull rope conversions is a little pricey i need to look and see if i can mod the lifan with the parts i have to make it a recoil starter. my fender does rub the engine. good luck with your swap and be shure to post some pics.

Oh, almost forgot, the 110 chain is slightly larger than the 70 chain, but... You can run the 110 chain on the 70 rear sprocket, you will just have some side to side slop, but the 110 chain links are the same length as the 70 links, if that makes sense.
BigYeller, the pull start conversion is easy. You can use your stock 70 left side cover if you want, you will just have to scribe your timing mark on the side of your flywheel for timing. The big thing is to pull your flywheel off the lifan engine and get it to a buddy or machine shop for modding. You either have to remove enough cage to fit over the rivets on the flywheel or you have to machine a little off of the pull starter cage and the flywheel so the cage fits flat against your flywheel. Then you have to mark the 4 holes that would bolt the cage to the flywheel. Then the 4 holes have to be drilled and tapped the right size for your cage to bolt to the flywheel. Make sure you have a sidecover to engine case gasket and make sure you have a recoil to sidecover gasket and it just bolts together. It will be a little harder to time without the hole and plug already in the trx70 sidecover that's all. If you had a trx70 sidecover to cheat from, you could drill and tap your own hole in the atc70 sidecover to time your engine if you had to, but the hole needs to be in just the right spot. Also you need to plug the gear selector indicator hole in your atc70 sidecover as well.

It was heavily modded. I do have 2 sets of the modded 200x engine cases for atc70s though!!!

You don't need to drill holes or anything like that!!!!! I personally put a 110 engine in my Honda 70 atc, I have the pictures to prove it. You can even put a 49cc head on the 70 crankcase. I've done that too. Ps. Make sure you put a wheelie bar on it. lol text me and I'll send the pics. (714)381-7750

so your saying a atc110 will bolt in if u just drill the lower motor holes? plus the intake fitting and stuff but im mostly worried about it just bolting in there. i can do everything else.
