I started tearing my basketcase 86 250r apart yesterday and when I got the carrier out I was surprised at what good shape it was in. It also doesn't look stock to me so I was hoping you all could tell me if it is or isn't and what I need to get for bearings/seals if it isn't. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a "Boss Carrier", there about the cheapest ones on EBAY so people buy them.......But, there are plenty of other aftermarket carriers that could be.

You'll have to check the bearing sides or measure it yourself. They are usually double row bearings and stock bearings won't fit. I'd double check my seal size too but it should use the stock or ALL BALLS seals.....

Thanks DC. It does have some markings on it like LS 11/99 or something. I'll get it cleaned up and see if I can get a set of the all balls dual row bearings and seals.

Now if I can just figure out how to get this dang swingarm pivot bolt out. It is driving me CRAZY!!
