If I wanted it to shine, I would have had it chromed. I have always liked the flat look of a nickel pipe. Shiny always causes more work too.

Im pretty sure If you contact Jemco again they will make you a silencer. I know they were going to do it for my 81 KX250.

Yeah, he said he would, but he needs a factory stock silencer to build a jig off of. pretty sure he said $75 for silencer.

Ya that sounds right, maybe see if a DG will work. Then see if he would be willing to copy that one. That seems to be the going rate for silencers to be made. Im in the process of haveing new pipes build for the Tecate 4 through CPI. I have to take the quad down to him and leave it for 2 weeks. Its well worth it to have him build one cause he will get the max HP possible out of the engine. Plus he uses a dyno to make sure the pipe is going to work and actully make good power. I can ask him if he would be willing to build other pipes when I get there to drop off the T4

Just an update here... this pipe has hung on my wall for almost a full year now. well, I was getting down to the end of my bike build and decided to stick the pipe on one of my engines to measure what pipe spring length I needed to order........WELL, the flange on the pipe DIDN'T FIT on the exhaust spigot of my cylinder!!! They both had the exact same outside diameters!! USELESS!
I called JEMCO and expressed my issues. I ended up (after SOME debate with the owner) OVER-NIGHTING my pipe back to texas so JEMCO could cut the flange off, weld on the correct size flange, and have my pipe RE-plated and shipped back to me in time for Summit indoor, which was 9 days away (where I wrecked anyway...)!
6 days later a Overnight package showed up... my pipe had returned in time!!! AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL!! His plating looks 10 times better than what I had originaly done. And all it really cost me was $25 for overnight shipping (thanx johnny's X), and a good amount of frustration. JEMCO did stand behind his work and made everything right, and the pipe performs awsome! I couldn't be happier with it now. Thanx to JEMCO.

OK then post up some Pics of that Perfect Bike, I love that thing!!! I need to call you, and will before the weekend. Chris ordered a Jemco for the Z I'm building, and the flange was the wrong size also.

Yeah when I called jemco they claimed that their were two different diameters on the tri-z cylinders for the exhaust flange but like you said they stand behind their product so he shipped out a new flange to jason. I also talked to him about getting a silencer made and but I didn't have one to send so they sent a universal one with all kinds of extra pieces of tubing with different bends to make it work. It's not exactly what i was expecting so I think jason is going to make something else work.
