The axle on my 200x(first gen) is bent and i thought rather than straightening it i'd upgrade to a better one. Do any axles from another bike fit my swingarm?

81-82 atc250r is direct bolt on but I wouldnt call it an upgrade unless you find an aftermarket one . I have a stock length heavy duty durablue for a 200x in stock if you like .

Even the 86/87 200X fits in the carrier bearings.......83-85 200X and like S L said, the 81/82R fits right up. Although the 81R had a drum brake, so IDK.....

I had an 83/84 250R axle in my 86 200X so that must fit yours too...........

Sprocket sizes change, lock nuts and seal ID sizes for whatever axle but any of them can be made to work and yes, the sprocket lines up (may need flat head bolts though....) They almost all fit the carrier bearings though......

I guess not many changes were made, even the 450R axle journals fit in a 350X carrier, other changes would have to be made though..... Just using an example :D

82 250R not 81 the drum brake changes things, but unless you find a good aftermarkrt one its not an upgrade. Durablue still makes and axle, but you have to use the 250R sprocket, that elimates the rubber dampners, and its not cheap.

The easy old school solution for using an 81 250r axle in a 200x was to dremal out one axle carrier nut and use the other 2 to lock it down . This is how we did it back in the day before anyone made an aftermarket axle for the 200x. As DC said the drum on the 81 needs a little more room were the 82 doesnt .

Here are a few pics of 2 of my 200x's , I have posted many pics before but I understand the search function is not working to great .

i have stock axles at $40 a peice...your best bet is to have a swingarm made or modified to fit in the 200x if you wanna run somthing else.
