I'm thinking about buying a lifan 110 for my 110. How good are they? How do they compare to honda 110 engines? I don't want to spend nearly 400 bucs just to get a pile of junk.

IT WON'T BE A DIRECT BOLT IN,,, those chins=ese motors are based off a atc 70 transmission,, it will require some fabrication work,,

The lifan 110 goes in the ATC 110 pretty easily. Get the CT90 bracket for engine swaps through Dr ATV.
Use a pitbike exhaust but have to bend it a very little for the frame. Use pit bike pegs and brackets to make it the easiest.
Very easy thought. I had my engine in and wire in less then an hour.

They are touch and go, but most I've personally seen hold up pretty well. Neighbor has one in a junk chinese quad, parts on the quad break all the time, but the engine still runs great, and that's with his kids abusing the hell out of it, starting in high gear, overreving it all the time, buried in mud...I'm actually impressed how that one holds up, but I have heard stories where the engine blows up in a short matter too...so it's hard to say.

some of the "junk chinese" quads do not have Lifan's in them , some are TAO-TAO's or other brands so.... i have seen good results with the Lifans and most of the others i have niot seen to many issues, now the bike itself, like those chinese qauds are built poorly and lead to alot of issues, but engines are fine.
