well today i fiddled with my throttle cable and every thing since it was revving like crazy ever since i put new msr bars on it, so i finally got it to idle properly just by sliding the throttle assembly to the left, so does that sound fixed to you guys? but i still got engine problems but that's the next project, so let me know what you think.
thanks cory

Another bend (CR Mids or Highs) would help or a longer cable, you run a risk of having it rev when turned, unless that was the problem fixed.

yeah when you turned it would rev so i slide the throttle over and now its fine i sat there wiggles the wheel left and right and no reving so im pretty sure that was the problem.

Just get a longer cable before a ditch ends up running into you.

the cables fine its the original cable and worked fine on the stocks, but after i put the new bars on it started revving so really it was the matter of finding where to adjust it to. i just want to know if that makes sense to other people to double check

I'm in agreement with Newrider3. Save yourself the headache of peeling your head off a tree or pile of dirt by getting a new throttle cable that is a couple inches longer. It won't hurt to have a new throttle cable, because it sucks when it breaks (from experience). And you won't have that little nagging feeling when you take a right turn if your throttle is going to pin wide open and run you into whatever is nearest to your right.

Exactly, because the new bars are different dimensions from the originals, thus stretching the stock cable.

is the new bar the same height and length? if so then ajustit accordngly if its different then get a longer cable. mine did that when i changed the bar on my ytz 250, but i just had to find the right spot for it, you dont want it to rev up when your not ready!!!

well like i said before it would only rev when i turn the wheel which means not enough slack, so i slide the throttle assembly to the left which gave it slack, so now it wont rev when i turn, but i will be getting a new cable soon any ways but i just wanted to see if this would fix the problem for now.
