klt shifting problems.

I was just runnin around my yard today and it wasn't running right so i headed to basement for screwdriver to adjust carb and i went to downshift and nothing happened. now i can move the shift lever almost all the way 90 up and probably the same down but pegs in way. any ideas? Its a 83 200c btw. :( could it be the clutch is screwed up?

Ouch. That can't be good. No, it wouldn't be the clutch. Either the shift lever spun on the shaft or something broke inside.

could it be the shift forks and drum? i read that they can slip and break. hopefully its a cheap fix.
